Terms
The short version, in plain words.
Who we are
Promptly is made by Robert Berglund, trading as Promptly, and sold through Paddle.com (Paddle), the merchant of record for every purchase. Paddle's company details and address are in its buyer terms, linked below.
Questions about these terms: [email protected].
The software licence
- Personal. A licence is for one person. You may use Promptly on up to 3 Macs that you use.
- Perpetual for 1.x. Your licence never expires and covers every 1.x release. A future major version (2.0) may be a paid upgrade.
- Trial. You may use Promptly free for 14 days to try it. After that, some features switch off until you enter a licence key; the terminal itself keeps working.
- No resale. You may not sell, rent, share or publish your licence key, or resell Promptly.
- Activation. Entering a key registers the Mac with our licence service, which checks the key from time to time. A refunded or charged-back purchase revokes its key.
- No warranty beyond the law. Promptly is provided as it is. We do our best, but we don’t promise it is free of bugs, and our liability is limited to what you paid, as far as the law where you live allows. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer.
Purchases
Purchases are made through Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all orders. Paddle handles payment, invoices, taxes and refunds, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms. The price is shown at checkout in your local currency, with VAT or sales tax added where due. You can ask for a refund within 14 days; see Refunds.
Changes
If we change these terms, the new version applies to purchases made after it is posted here. The terms you bought under keep covering your licence.
